Your Partner

A partner is someone to whom you are engaged, married, have a civil partnership with or have lived with as a common law husband or wife for at least 3 months. This includes same sex partnerships. Your partner must normally permanently reside at the same address.

Your Children

You may cover both your own "dependent" children, and your partners "dependent" children who are under the age of 18 years of age, or up to the age of 23 years of age provided that they are in full time education. Infants under 2 years of age may be covered free of charge under this policy, but please include their details so that they may be added to the policy certificate.

Notes

A "Dependent Child" means a child who does not necessarily permanently reside with you or your partner but is financially dependent upon you or your partner.

Under this policy a "Dependent Child" up to the age of 17 years of age, in addition to travelling with you or your partner, will also be covered to travel independently only with school teachers on an organised school trip.

Adventure Sports and Dive Professional Development Cover

Baggage Increase

The maximum limit that may be claimed for each item of baggage and dive equipment on both the "Standard" and "Premium" options is £400, but this limit is increased to £600 per item by selecting this option. However if this limit is insufficient we do offer an annual dive equipment insurance policy that allows you to insure dive equipment for its full replacement value.

Independent Itinerary Failure & Cover For Travel Disruption

This coverage offers the financial protection for the failure of your itinerary that you would normally receive if you make a holiday or trip booking with a reputable Tour Operator. Most standard travel insurance policies only cover holidays booked as a package with a Tour Operator (which in turn will probably be protected by an ATOL scheme), and do not cover the failure of independently booked travel itineraries. Clearly this may leave holidaymakers who purchase the elements of their holiday separately (flights, accommodation, vehicle hire and other holiday activities) exposed to a financial loss, should an element that they have booked fails.

This extension also extends cover under the "Cancellation or Curtailment" and "Missed Departure" to claims arsing from civil unrest, riots, organised protests, arson and looting as well as volcanic eruptions, ash clouds, earthquakes, landslides or flood.

Excess Waiver

The Policy excess for each and every claim will be waived. Full details can be found within the policy wording.
